New Tunes

I’m always writing music. I’m finally putting it out there for you to listen to.

Jam-Tracks 01 -

D Mixolydian-G Major: The form of this song is Intro:Verse1:Bridge1:Verse2:Bridge2:Verse3/Tag. The tune can use the same notes for both sections: Verse: D Mixolydian (D, E, F#, G, A, B, C); Bridge: G Major (G, A, B, C, D, E, F#). What you’ll need to focus on is both being tuneful and touching base the the chord tones from time to time. In addition if you have any pentatonic riffs in your back pocket, they can be rather tasty when playing over the D chord.

Lesser Days

This is a full fledged song with vocals, etc… It’s about facing one’s demons with the intent of overcoming them.

The Tally

this is a very personal song about a time when one of my daughters went to live far away with her mom.

Gotta Have Time (featuring Lauren Ludwig) -

This song was originally started as an attempt to write an ACDC style song. As you’ll hear, it fell far from that mark. Nevertheless, I’m quite happy with the results. As you’ll hear, I’m not the lead vocalist on this song, instead it’s my niece Lauren Ludwig. Kudos to her for a great job!
The song was written when I was in the middle of raising my kids during summer vacation (I’m a teacher). Things were kinda hectic and that constant need for my attention fueled the lyrics of the song. I put the song in an adult relationship so as to work better with the mood of the music. Hope you like it!

Bo Yeet -

I started writing this instrumental while at school (my job). One of my students challenged me to write an upbeat EDM song. This is what came out:

Interlude #1 -

I was asked to create some short musical passages for an app idea that didn’t come to fruition. Nevertheless, I’m kinda fond of the vibe in this one. Enjoy!

Hawaii Feeling Today? -

This tune is part of a series of instrumentals that were composed completely on paper before being recorded. I should return to this process as it yields good results, what do you think?

Back In The Saddle #6 -

This is from a set of instrumentals for which I actually wrote out the parts (should do that more often).

Turn Down Our House -

Instrumental featuring electric lead.

Mabel’s Bender -

Happy, happy, happy!

Am I Wrong? (rough mix) -

Thanks to the Strokes for informing the style of this little ditty! I’ll let you apply your own meaning to the lyrics. Enjoy!
